About Donna
I came across Zumba Fitness while living and working in Los Angeles and was immediately hooked!
In July 2008, I took the Zumba Basics workshop with the fabulous UK/SA ZES Naomi Di Fabio (now Mokoena) and started teaching in the September. I auditioned and interviewed with Beto and the Zumba Fitness Home Office for one of the European Zumba Education Speciliast positions and have had the pleasure of teaching Instructor training workshops ever since!
I started out as a gymnast at very young age, took up martial arts, athletics and eventually got into circus & theatre. I lived in London for 8 years as an actress & singer, then LA for 2 and back to Scotland, where I have been since Feb 2008.
As much as I love the performing, I wanted something else, something mentally & physically rewarding that other people benefit from and Zumba was the perfect answer.
One of the great things about Zumba Fitness, is that there is no right or wrong way to move in a class. Everybody has their own style, their own flair and can work at their own fitness level. It doesn't matter if you get all the steps right, they will come. What's important is having fun while getting fit in an a welcoming, encouraging, high energy environment that leaves you feeling great!
People go to Zumba Fitness classes because they WANT to. Not because they feel they should.
As you can tell, I think Zumba Fitness is the greatest things since sliced bread!!
And so it IS!! :-) Over & out !
